Nice Buzz, I sure hope my after market prop shaft has nothing to do with it:.
I have never heard of anyone installing one on a D II, there are so many make and models some am some fm and i am just curious to see what has worked for others. Or am i venturing into the unknown with this in our community.
That would be one hell of a bad day: turn key and go boom

I would just like to be able to start my truck about 5 minutes before i leave so its warm instead of having a cold truck or having to walk out twice. Just a convenience or maybe lazy I'm not sure. Just curious for sure Mike, about how it has worked for others. And if has caused anyone problems.

I know exactly how a fuel injected engine works Mike, they run open loop (full choke) until the O2 sensors are warmed up, which only takes a min or so because they are heated O2's.
Meaning they have their very own heating element.
So, they run rich for a min or so when stone cold, thats it.
Personally when it is cold out I just walk out to the driveway and start the engine and then go back inside, I turn on the rear defroster if needed.
Depending on the time of year I will let it warm up for 10-15 min before leaving for work/home.
Been doing that for 70,000 miles and no problems.

I like those...until you go into the boonies and can't unlock your car, or if you're in an underground parking garage in the city and don't have cell service. I am interested about this remote start stuff, it's cold in VT winter!
