Finally put on some new (big) tires
I had these cooper zeon ltz tires in 285/60r18 laying around for a while and finally got them on. These tires are about as extreme you can go with a 2" lift on 18" wheels (and still have running boards). The mechanic I go to for inspections put them on the wheels and pretty much said never again. He said he never put on such a heavy duty sidewall tire and it maxed out his tire machine. I had to trim the bumper a bit and the mud flap, the bottom of my bumper was torn up anyhow from misadventures so I did not mind cutting it up a bit (It is still rough and I need to work on the lines a bit). I did not have to adjust my steering stops and there is no rubbing anywhere.
Pictures suck (overexposed) as it was dark but I will take a few more in the daylight tomorrow if anyone is interested.

I run 285/65/r18s on mine with a 2 inch lift (or so, I don't actually know . They barely fit. I love the look though, plus lots of traction. Thinking about putting some narrower tires on my 16's for the winter though. Wide tires aren't bad in the winter, but they are not good either. Have fun.

I have 2.5cm hub centric spacers on the front wheels and it allowed me not to have to adjust the steering stops out. Also I would take off the running boards off but my wife needs them to get the babies in and out of the truck. She is kind of pissed I raised the truck up even more. Here are some better pics (I still have not flipped the spare carrier).
As far as winter performance of wide tires, I drove 120 miles today on unplowed roads and I did not noticed a difference between these and 255/55r18 general snow tires that were on it prior.
