I used Liquid Tape and gooped up all of the ends of my cruise line and it has worked for 3 years now.
Will do (tomorrow) after I get done at the J/Y pulling a transmission for another car (don't ask).

Thanks for the help!

Mine went out a few weeks back and I didn't bother to fix it. Later my friend told me I didn't have any brake lights. I took care of it by replacing the brake switch and all the (burnt) brake bulbs. As a bonus, my cruise control now works again. Where as the cruise control isn't a safety feature, the brake lights certainly were. Next time I'll know to look at other components when something stops working.

My 98 Disco cruise control works on and off. Usually only works just after the car
is started and the motor is cold.

Very off and on after the motor has been running for a while. But usually does not
work.

Suggestions easy fixes

I am also having cruise control problems. Except my problem starts with the actual cruise control power button on the dash board. It will not light up/turn on. I checked the fuse box and the fuse is good. Any ideas fellas?

Same problem - how can I test the switch on the steering wheel to make sure it's functioning?

I found the vacuum line on the module just aft of the radiator overflow was dry rotted and cracked on one end. I used a pocket knife and some spit on the side of the road to fix mine. The hose that seems to just wrap from one side to the other was the one busted. I have to go get a new hose at some point but I'll wait until this one bites it again. There was just enough slack left after cutting the cracked ends off to get it to work one more time.

Default Cruise not working

Is there any way for someone to post a picture of the vacuum lines and the cruise control so I can identify where it is located in my engine compartment to check the lines for damage?
Thanks,
~Sue~
