SRS light blinking problem
I was working on a 1995 disco. I removed and repaired the radiator. Since this time, the SRS comes on faintly and then after awhile it blinks bright and will not go out. I also need to mention that the engine was washed. What could have possibly triggered this and how can I stop it or accesss the code and reset? Thanx.

Probably has to be reset at the dealer. Before you do that, check to make sure that the connectors to the crash sensors are properly seated and not corroded. Trace the yellow cables, as this is the SRS system. Two sensors are on the bumper.
Rovers don't do well with any pressurized water on the engine. Hopefully, you didn't find a defect in any of the SRS wiring or connections.
Did you have the battery unplugged for a period of time? If so, this could also explain the SRS blinking.

RE: SRS light blinking problem
OK, here's the bad news. After 10 years (and this is in the owner manual) The air bag system has to be serviced, and this can only be done by a dealer. When I was in England in Oct. I talked to a dealer friend and he told me the 10 year service includes replacing the 2 air bags @ 1500 british pounds each (if you can get them). Here's more bad news, I have seen a 1995 Discovery with both air bags blown and the owner claims it just happend while the car was parked. I ask my dealer friend if this was posable and he said YES. Sorry there is no good news. I am going to disable mine as soon as I can find out how to do it .
