I also live in Colorado and agree, BUT Rovers run so rich, you'll foul out your oil in half the time. It is reall hard on a Rover to sit and idle.
On our coldest day, my engine idles for less the 1/2 a minute, just long enough to get up tranny pressure and I am gone.

On Land Rover remote start installs, you have to actually sacrifice one of the dealer keys to make it work. No way around it. It actually gets physically wired to the ignition cylinder and then you cut the blade on the key. Other than that adding on a nice $180, the wiring is relatively straight forward compared to some other vehicles.

The key is not a issue but the alarm is. You will have more gremlins that you will want to mess with. With a good thermostat these engines warm up really quick. Excessive idleing will not be an issue if your trk is well tuned. Mine idles for two hours a day with no ill effects.
